About Frankham Farm

Frankham Farm is a stunning converted barn in rural Dorset. This 4-bedroom beauty sits on a working organic farm near Sherborne with flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 8 people. Each room can be configured as twins or doubles - perfect when you need to keep the snorers separated! The property includes a separate annexe, ideal for grandparents who need an escape from the chaos.

The farm offers four walking routes across the owner's land. Most are fenced, so your dogs can run free without ending up in Timbuktu. There's a secure paddock where dogs can play fetch till they drop and a shared tennis court for humans to work up a sweat. Fancy a farm tour? The owners will show you their tractors, organic crops and livestock. Just don't ask where dinner comes from if you're squeamish.

The accommodation includes a main barn with three bedrooms (super-king/twin, king/twin and king/twin) plus a separate annexe with another king/twin bedroom. There are four bathrooms total - one family bathroom, two en-suites in the main barn and a bathroom with separate shower in the annexe. Both sections have fully-equipped kitchens with electric ovens, hobs, fridges and dishwashers.

This really is a lovely property which is very comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly want. The layout is ideal for multi generational families or friends holidaying together as it allows for privacy if needed. We made full use of the hot tub in particular. Location was quiet and private. Be aware that the nearest food store is a five minute drive away in Yetminster.

The split of the main building worked very well for all of us allowing my daughter, son-in-law and their baby daughter to be in the adjoining smaller building, both were very spacious. Her son, Duncan, who now runs their farm has turned it into an organic enterprise and gave us a really informative tour.
