Outstanding hosts, warm welcoming and very attentive to thier guests. Couldn't do enough for us and the cottage was warm and had everything you needed. Recommend in a heartbeat and would return.
Deborah
The cottage was exactly as shown in the photos. We were absolutely delighted with the booking. Great communication with the owner.
Pauline
Great cottage would highly recommend.
stephanie
Beautiful cottage and very well equipped with all you need. Good showers and comfortable beds. The owners are very near by as the cottages are in the garden Owners were helpful when needed. We loved the remote location but not for those wanting to be near to shops or places to eat. Good central base to visit the coast.
Jayne
The cottage was very clean and tidy . It was lovely and quiet in a great rural location but plenty of places to visit within an hours drive. Very friendly host. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Jayne
Maura
Nice quiet place to stay. The only problem is the road to get in and out, it is very narrow with lots of bends and the hedges are that high you can't see what is coming. We nearly had a head on collision .
Melanie
Perfectly relaxing place to stay
Alexandra
Beautiful cottage, well equipped. Very clean.
Adrian
Great stay, quiet location.
Clare
The Pigsty was nothing like any pigsty I've seen: comfortable, well equipped, clean and light. We sooo much appreciated our holiday. Sadly the area was badly affected by flooding, so we avoided local walks and sought out hills. A great area for a relaxing holiday.
Helen
Clean, comfortable, well equipped, warm and modern. Just what we wanted. Nice peaceful spot. Lovely welcome pack of treats which we appreciated. Hestercombe Gardens and the canal walks both worth a visit. Nice food and friendly service at The Canal Inn, The Lime Kiln Inn and The Bear. Would definitely recommend this place.
Kirsty
The cottage was extremely well maintained and facilities were very good. The beds were very comfortable. We only stayed for three nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. Views from the cottage were pretty stunning.
Angela
'The Pigsty' cottage, we found, is a high-end, very well fitted-out, well designed (for 4x adults) well insulated and well equipped cottage, all in immaculate condition. We stayed here following collecting our campervan from fitting-out by a company in Caldicot, Wales, and headed down to Taunton area for four nights with friends. Despite a cold raiRead moreny day and cooler evenings, use of the heating or the log fire was unnecessary. We are not hot tub people, but a great looking tub is provided. Hide
Patricia
We always stay in dog friendly accommodation and standards vary enormously. However, the Pigsty was by far the nicest, best equipped and the most comfortable out of all the properties we have stayed in (which must be well over 30 over the years). We would happily recommend it and would stay here again.
Terry
Really nice place, very comfortable and roomy. Really liked the layout with the lounge/diner/kitchen area in the middle and two large double bedrooms with ensuite at either end. Really good wifi as well which isn't always the case
Alexander
Everything was just great.
Donna
Lovely stay and friendly but non-intrusive hosts. Great base for walking.
Matthew
Lovely cottage very clean and comfy we had a great time and we will be returning.
Alexa
Absolutely lovely conversion of an outbuilding! Really nice comfy beds and quiet location with a nice view. Kids loved the tennis court. Owners very helpful and friendly without intruding. You may need quite a bit of wood for the hot tub. We didn't use it quite as much as we would have liked for that reason, but also because the week we were there was a bit too rainy sadly. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break away from it all.
Lewis
Really enjoyed our stay at the Pigsty. Very well equipment property. Great views across the countryside. Perfect getaway with the dogs and friends. Will be returning again.
Tonia
Fantastic countryside retreat to really relax. Has all the facilities needed, whether using as a base to explore the area or to use as a holiday home.
Ian
Loved The Pigsty accommodation. Lovely property and very friendly / helpful owners. Accommodation topped off with the tennis court which was a big tick for our son. Great place and enjoyed our stay.
Andrew
The accommodation is of an excellent standard and had no complaints. However, the owners house is very close and it does invade the privacy in the cottage. The jacuzzi in our opinion wouldnt have been usable because of the location of the main house.
Martin
We only stayed 2 nights in this beautifully designed barn conversion, but it was enough for us to appreciate the quality of the work done, the oh so comfortable sofas, the log fire, the under floor heating, the pristine ensuite showers, the fabulous wood fired hot tub that the owner kindly helped us with. A wonderful welcome pack, as well as compli mentary bath products, dishwasher tablets, and toilet rolls, just like a boutique hotel! Our little dog was happy too! Bravo "The Pigsty"!
Ian
Excellent cottage Ideal for couples with dogs.
Steven

Alison
We have stayed in quite a few cottages and The Pigsty was by far the best. A beautifully restored cottage, with two roomy bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook any meal. The hot tub was also a much enjoyed extra, a couple of bags of logs and a little patience and you can relax in the wonderful wate r. There were four adults in our party and we all had plenty of room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Sue
The Pigsty is a very comfortable, well equipped holiday cottage. Easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 dogs. Beautiful views from the terrace. Good dog walking area.

Lovely touch of food & drink welcome gifts when we arrived and overall a really comfy and cosy stay. Amazing walks and scenery within a short distance away and easy to drive to s hops if needed. Felt very safe on site and was a bonus that it was dog friendly! Would highly recommend for a short break in the country!
Beth
We had a busy holiday visiting family but it was lovely to come back every day to such a peaceful and well equipped cottage. Would definitely recommend! Lovely place!
Claire
Weve just come back from a weekend stay at this property and I have to say we were all blown away by the standard of the accommodation and attention to detail. The accommodation was extremely clean and well finished and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was a little tricky to get going but Martin the owner was more than happy to h elp and nothing was too much trouble. A welcome pack of chocolates, cider and crisps were a nice touch too! Well definitely be back!!
Katarzyna
Beautiful place for families and couples.
Tim
Stunning location and building. Everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The pigsty was superbly presented and clean. We loved our stay and will be back in the future. Make sure you grab a few bags of logs from the local petrol station to get the hot tub going (15 worth is enough)
Lynne
