Ash Lodge Reviews

We all had a marvellous restful week at Ash Lodge. The lodge was really comfortable and well equipped. The younger members of our party made good use of the hot tub. It was so lovely and quiet and the location couldn't be better. As grandparents it was a really special way for us to spend some good quality time with our grandchildren.
Myself and 6 friends had an amazing time at Ash Lodge. Very close to amenities. The lodge was spotless and exactly as described, the hot tub was a great place to chill out. It was a quiet location, but lovely to hear the gibbons calling from the zoo across the road. We will return.
The lodge was clean and comfortable, in a great position for venturing out and exploring. Really safe for two young boys to run off energy outside, while grown ups enjoyed the hot tub!
Me and my husband took 5 grandchildren away we had a fantastic time lovely lodge ... Me and my husband took 5 grandchildren away we had a fantastic time lovely lodge nice position and not far from the beach and local amenities will definitely book again
Perfect for our family get together, pictures don't really do the Lodge's justice , much more spacious than we thought they would be . Grounds and facilities maintained to perfection. Hot tub superb and serviced twice daily. Highly recommended
Our stay was lovely from start to finish. We were able to properly relax, and with 2 teenage girls in tow, they properly made use of the hot tub. Our lodge Ash, was setup for 8 people, but there was only 4 of us plus our cockapoo, so gave us plenty of space to spread out a bit. House was clean and tidy and had virtually everything youd need. The gardens were spacious and lush grass that was well maintained. We didnt need to make use of the log fire, and house was temperate throughout. Definitely recommend.
Disappointing
Stayed here few weeks ago Nice place but way over priced also to small to suit 8 No black bags no recycle bags , we had to go and purchase from a corner shop ? no fluffy towels as stated for the hot tub , no welcome back , no homely greeting of the owners who lived on the site definitely not worth the price we paid 1084.00 for 3 nights
Ash Lodge is in a great location and well set back from the A39 close to Watchet so road noise was not intrusive. The site and lodges were well maintained and sufficiently spaced apart to provide privacy. Ash Lodge was very cosy and warm and the self contained upper and ground floor arrangement works extremely well for multiple families. The hottub was a great feature and well maintained and WiFi and TV reception very good. Kitchen was well equipped although some tumblers would be a useful addition. Ash Lodge was a great place to spend Christmas with the family.
Kelvin
Really nice lodge
Claire
A really lovely lodge. Perfect for a large family or group of friends. Had everything we needed. Loved the hot tub which was ready for use as soon as we arrived and was cleaned every morning.
Very comfortable property and the owners are very conscientious in looking after their guests.
Joanne
Lovely stay in the cabin for two families. Facilities where excellent. Two keys separate keys would have been better for the downstairs accommodation.
Summer
We rented out both of the cottages with hot tubs and had a fantastic time. The ladies who checked on the hot tubs each morning were lovely to us and we had everything we needed!!! We will be coming back next year for sure
Great lodge, we would certainly come back if staying in the area again and recommend to others. An additional key to the main lodge would have been very useful. We had a family with young children staying upstairs that required access to the main kitchen in the middle of the night. This meant that we either had to leave the lodge unlocked when we went to bed or we had to get up to let them in when needed. That's the only improvement we can recommend. Thank you.
Louise

It was a beautiful lodge However it would of benefited with an extra key for downstairs as once we were in bed in the upstairs room which was separate from the rest of the lodge we didnt have a key to key back in in the morning if the others were still in bed downstairs
Lovely house and hot tub. Could do with a pair of tongs and a new can opener!
Sylvia
Stayed here for a family birthday 9 of us. Super place plenty of room for all and great hot tub checked every day Not far from beaches either. Super
The lodge was wonderful and the hot tub was amazing. There were 6 adults and plenty of space for us all. Everything was provided. It was so peaceful and quiet we had a fab time. Thank you very much
Catherine
Lovely family holiday in a very comfortable well equipped lodge, in a lovely area. Owner was very helpful, providing a highchair very quickly for my granddaughter when asked. We all had a great time and would definitely return in the future.
Impressed with cleaning of hot tub every day and at the end of holiday. We moved table in front of fire place which gave more room. Nice quiet location only the occasional morning evening noise from animals from nearby zoo
Michael
Peaceful location in a lovely part of the world
Euganie

A big thank you to Lloyde for making it so special for us all. This is our 3rd time at these lodges and definitely recommend a stay there we will definitely go back again.

The owner wonderful and helpful on our first night. We are had a lovely stay rooms nice and clean and the great bonus was the hot tub! Thank you.
The lodge was exceptionaly clean and we'll maintained the surrounding was clean and tidy. Nice and quiet, close to many places to visit for days out. I can't fault anything all our needs were met.the owner welcomed us and made sure we knew how to work the hot tub which he kept well maintained every morning a very nice chap. The little Tropicana zoo close by was fantastic for the kids and well worth a visit. Great location for visiting the beach also ride the steam train to minehead.
Darren
Lovely surroundings. Cottage was well presented in a fantastic area. Lloyd was very helpful and was at hand if we had any questions to ask. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a fantastic time. Mr & Mrs D Lambert And family.
Lindsay
The lodge was beautiful and clean the hot tub was cleaned everyday. Fantastic location with everything we needed. The sofa in the living room wasnt very comfortable, but we didnt spend a lot of time at the lodge. If your sleeping down stairs and you have adults upstairs the noise on the floor boards can be loud, only if your staying in the double bedroom. The peacocks and gibbons from across the zoo are loud trying to warn off foxes, but you get use to it. Its well worth a visit to see them.
The location was very good, the surrounding area had lots of places to visit ,beaches, countryside, shopping, historical sites something to suit everyone. Lots of privacy and fully equipped accommodation comfortable beds and free wifi.just perfect.
The lodge was a perfect setting to celebrate my 50th birthday. Loads of room, inside and out. And thinking about it although the weather was not great it was a great opportunity to use the hot tub even more. Location was perfect, far enough away from the road but easy to get to all local attractions.
Home from home
We stayed with our teenagers and dog. The lodge is clean with plenty of space. Hot tub and log burner are great. It?s ideally situated for Exmoor National Park and surrounding towns. The beach is close by and there are loads of outdoor things to do. Minor niggles were: Towels not routinely provided for hot tub Tv in lounge is a bit small Sofa not very comfortable Would stay again.
Lovely relaxing weekend at the cottage. Hot tub was fab. Cottage was very comfy, bed and pillows lovely. Dining table was slightly big for area as did knock my side a few times. Lloyd was very helpful and it was lovely having the fire going when we arrived. Great weekend and plenty of out door space between cottages.
An amazing place to stay. The host has done a wonderful job. Will be telling everyone how fabulous ash lodge is.
Nice and quiet location, short drive to Minehead for any shopping etc Hot tub fab ! Sitting in it on Christmas Day glass bubbly in hand ! We were a party of 6 adults, 2 children and dogs! Ash Lodge gave us plenty of room especially with the split level living.
Jackie
The lodge exceeded expectations. . There was 8 of us staying there and it did not feel crowded at all... the hot tub was cleaned every day. The owner was very nice and helpful. The lodges were easy to find, just off the main road yet very quiet and shops close by. Would definitely return there and recommend.
Second visit so knew it was good!
Great family place to stay, which was really clean and a perfect location. The double bed mattress needs replacing and some rugs put down upstairs to stop some of the noise. The hot tub is great and everyone loved it.
Anthony
Ash Lodge is a lovely holiday let with everything you could possibly need. It is well furnished, with quality items and the kitchen is really well equipped. A large group can stay here very comfortably and the hot tub is a luxury bonus. Can't recommend enough. Thanks for a great stay.
I had an amazing week with all the family. The children especially loved the freedom to run around in the fresh air. There was plenty to see and do although we didn't have enough time for all of it. The accommodation was faultless with all the comforts of home. Staff on site were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back.
Gemma the site manager was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and we have a wonderful time.
